One of the best things about a party at Halloween is that anything goes. No one is going to laugh if you turn up in 70s fancy dress. The whole point of this sort of event is that everyone wears something bizarre. For one guest that can mean dressing up as Edward Scissorhands whilst for another it can suggest becoming Ronald McDonald for the evening. If you like the idea of being Barry Gibb (complete with stick-on hairy chest, open-necked shirt and gold medallion) then so be it.

A lot of people are very traditional about things and when someone comes up with a new idea they are wary of it. Don't let anyone talk you into not having your 70s fancy dress party. Some of your friends and family might think that you are being mean by not letting your guests wear their normal Halloween outfits.

Starsky and Hutch were two police officers who drove around in a bright red Ford Gran Torino nicknamed 'the striped tomato' the series gave us camaraderie, action and cheesy plots and everyone loved the long knitted cardigans that Starsky always wore. A fabulous and easy 70's fancy dress is a 'Starsky' cardigan and flared trousers.1977 and Saturday Night Fever brought a svelte John Travolta to our screens wearing white trousers and jacket with a white silk shirt. The Beegees' soundtrack is still a classic and who can resist a bit of disco dancing to 'Stayin Alive' at any 70s fancy dress party. Ladies can wear a dancing queen catsuit to complement their disco partner looking suave in a baby blue jacket and flares. Cyprus Wedding Packages

Sometimes when folks arrange a themed party it can really be a bit limiting when it comes to choosing a dress-up costume, however with a 70s fancy dress get together this is really not going to be a problem.
