The information on the two SIM cards, including the phone number, are the same. After the process is completed, users may be able to use the blank SIM to place calls and have the charges attributed to the original SIM card.

A triband dual SIM phone can work with two SIM cards, so it's capable of doing a lot more than the standard dual or single band phone that works with only one SIM card. However, should a consumer need even more functionality, he or she could look into a purchasing a quadband cell phone.
